Beit Hawa

Beit Hawa’s entrance doors open to a spectacular view of Rendezvous Bay. This vista evolves from gorgeous morning sunrises over the unspoiled peninsula to dark sky at night uninterrupted by nearby lights; a view particularly appreciated from the hot tub on the lower deck.

Beit Hawa means good wind in Arabic and the house is named for the steady ocean breezes that act as a natural air conditioner, refreshing, cooling. This villa in Boatman Point, an exclusive neighborhood, faces south catching the winds and looking across the water to the National Park.

The Beit Hawa master bedroom suite, with outdoor shower, is separated from the main house by the sun deck and patio, allowing privacy and quiet. The main deck features native stonework, a fountain, outdoor seating and a hot tub. The main deck privacy is secured by massive elephant doors imported from India. In addition to breathtaking views, the deck features native stonework, a fountain, areas for lounging, and dining. There is an additional outdoor deck with a grill and dining table accessible from the main section of the house.

There are two loft style bedrooms, full kitchen, dining area and living area with plenty of built in seating and chairs for relaxing in the main part of the house. The two story open construction allows for ocean views from all corners. This contemporary house was recently refurbished, and gardens planted to enhance the interior views.

Beit Hawa is a short drive from Cruz Bay and the beaches of the North Shore. Going to, or returning from the beaches, you will pass the Island’s restaurants, shops and main grocery stores.

After spending the day exploring or swimming, unwind in the privacy of Beit Hawa’s roomy hot tub and listen to the gently lapping waves on the shore below or cook a family style meal and bask in the quiet Caribbean breezes on the main patio.

  Dealing with Catered to Vacation Homes was friendly and easy to deal with. They had great response times and kept me well informed. The weekly rental price was reasonable. The villa was clean. The kitchen was very well equipped. You need a car to get around from this location. Any minor issues with the house are resolved quickly and satisfactorily. The house is beautiful and the views incredible. I would rent from Catered to Vacation Homes again and would love to be here again.

  From beginning planning stage until the end we were in constant communication with your staff, who were very professional. When we arrived on St. John we were greeted by Annie and her beautiful smile, who is escorted us to the Beit Hawa property. It’s a beautiful older home with an amazing view. The property was well kept and the grounds were beautiful. It was exactly as pictured in your advertisement. We felt very comfortable and safe while at the villa. The hot tub, the breeze that was coming in from the bay was so relaxing. The sea was so clear we were able to see turtles in it. I would definitely come back, and I have definitely been telling my friends here stateside about our wonderful stay!

  What an amazing property to enjoy a much needed vacation in St. John! It is located on the south side of the island and there were beautiful sunrises each day as it faces east. The house sits above the water, but no other houses are below you and you can sit outside and enjoy the sound of waves. We did not see a way to access the water there, but there is no reason to with so many gorgeous beaches on St. John (Honeymoon and Cinnamon were favorites.) This house would be great for a family or 2 couples if wanting privacy. The master is by itself with an ensuite and the main house has 2 upstairs bedrooms that share a bath, accessed by a spiral staircase. The bedrooms have open ceilings, so it's not the most private and with the kitchen below, noise could possibly disturb anyone sleeping upstairs. With that said, I highly recommend this property for your visit. We had absolutely no complaints and would book it again in a heartbeat. I do recommend marking it with a GPS to help you find it when returning. We made a few wrong turns getting there the first couple of days. Cruz Bay is about 5-10 minutes away and a small grocery store is located about 5 minutes away. If the layout meets your needs, you will not regret booking this house for your vacation.

  We absolutely loved staying at Beit Hawa—it was the perfect island getaway! The staff of catered to was wonderful, especially Vernesta in the office, and our greeter, Chemica, was so helpful and nice. We would definitely use Catered to again and highly recommend them — we hope to be back to St. John soon!!
  The house was clean and so cute — thank goodness for solar power! It has a neat layout and a beautiful view. We loved hearing the ocean and feeling the constant breeze! It was very hard to leave!

  Loved the location and view. Very private location yet close to town. Great breeze. Multiple things in process of being fixed liked the jets on the hot tub, water feature as you walk in, some windows. Upstairs bedrooms are open to the ceiling so not as private as the Master. We would come back.

  We selected Beit Hawa for its location and views and it did not let us down. The house was a great place for the 5 of us to spend a week on St. John. Our views were spectacular and the house had all the amenities we needed including a gas grill and a hot tub. Although the loft rooms were very warm at night without AC, the master on the first floor was quite comfortable.

  We had a wonderful stay at Beit Hawa. We were 3 couple, mostly in our 60’s. The windows in the house allowed us a magnificent view of the ocean. Even from the upstairs loft bedrooms we could see the ocean. The outdoor patio was an especially relaxing place to sit back and relax during the day. The no see um bugs were out at night so our night time on the patio was limited, unfortunately.
  We felt that the house could have used air conditioning, However there is a strong breeze at night that cools the house down if you open the windows.
  The management was superb. The location was perfect for exploring St Johns.
