Sunset Beach

Do you enjoy walks on the beach? The sound of the water lapping on the shore? Beach homes with all the comforts of home and then some? If you answered yes to any of those questions, then Sunset Beach is the villa for you. One of the few villas on the island that is set right on a rocky beach, just across from the shoreline of a small cove, perfect for beach combing and snorkeling. There is also a great sandy area between the pool and the beach that you can relax on!

Sunset Beach also offers a full range of creature comforts. Float in the large lap pool or unwind with a long soak in the warm spa. Prepare a meal in the expansive kitchen and enjoy it on the breezy balcony. No matter what you fill your day with, you can look forward to a great night’s sleep in one of the villa’s four bedroom suites, listening to waves gently breaking on the shore.

  Four adults, three kids. House was perfect. Pool was shaded in the afternoon so the kids could swim without concerns of getting burned. Kitchen very well equipped. No AC in main area not an issue, we were there in mid June as doors and windows on all four sides. Great covered porch on upper level perfect for coffee in the morning and relaxing anytime. They provide beach towels, huge packing help. And washing machine and dryer allowed us to wash bathing suits mid trip. Not far from grocery store. Would return every year if the kids would come

  Our time at the home on St John was amazing. The home was perfect for 4 couples and the view was awesome. We used the pool everyday which was so nice to have and to be able to look out at the ocean made it better. The accomodations were perfect!

  A wonderful villa in a quiet, secluded bay (while being close enough to Cruz Bay) with one of the very best sunset views of the island that we have been visiting for the past decade. The house lay-out is very family friendly, that everyone can have their own space. The pool is large such that we have at times chosen not to go to the beach. The property managers are very kind and responsive. Our only call for these changing times, would be to install solar with battery and/or a generator.

  Our group of 8 had an amazing time at the Sunset Beach Villa during our 5 night stay! It is a large, updated home with gorgeous views all around. It is about a 12 minute drive to get to Cruz Bay by car so very convenient. The Catered To team was very responsive before and during our stay and took care of our minor issues very promptly. The home is well-equipped and we cooked many of our meals at the house without any issues. The AC in the rooms are great and kept us cooled off. Also appreciated having 2 sets of washer/dryers on site. We loved having access to our own pool as well as rocky beach. Highly recommend and would stay here again!

  Sunset Beach worked really well for us - just a short drive from town we were able to enjoy the quiet of the home, and pop in to town as we wanted. The pool was lovely - and the layout of the house worked for gathering together as a family, while also giving everyone the space they needed to rest and relax. The rental team was great - the place was clean and there were even some small provisions provided for our arrival which was a sweet touch. Overall - we really enjoyed our stay - and my mom is ready to book again for next year.

  We have now stayed at Sunset Beach for close to ten years and plan to return as long as we can. Fabulous quiet location with wonderful views especially of sunsets, yet with easy access to town Ample rooms, large open common area, and big deck. Pool is a real plus to relax at home.

  Spent a week here with my spouse and 3 other couples. Amazing views, great snorkeling right off the point. The pool is beautiful, clean, and a wonderful place to relax after a morning exploring Cruz Bay or north shore beaches. The outdoor showers in two of the bedrooms are an amazing feature! The house is well maintained and we felt right at home for the whole week.

  This was our second stay at Sunset Beach and it was even better the second time around. The pool is outstanding! With four bedrooms, everyone has space for themselves, but the large common area was wonderful for gathering together. The outdoor areas are fantastic, as is the proximity to the water, as there are very few waterfront villas in St John. All in all, a fantastic villa!

  My two grown children, their spouses and I had a wonderful stay at Sunset Beach. Everything in the layout of the house made sense, it was well maintained and the kitchen was well stocked. We appreciated the welcome packet with starter provisions - thanks!
  
  The house was clean and we enjoyed all having a master bedroom! The view was unbeatable... it was nice not to have the morning sun beating down to enjoy daily coffee and breakfast on the deck with the iguanas. We had some wonderful excursions and enjoyed returning for late afternoon swims, enjoying the hot tub and evening sunsets from the deck.
  
  Highlights included hiking Rams Head and having lunch at Lucy's, spending the day at Maho snorkeling and paddle boarding, hiking to Water Lemon Bay and snorkeling with sea turtles, tropical fish and seeing barracudas.
  
  Favorite restaurants and eats were Banana Deck for nice evening out and the following for casual fare: Shambles, Tap and Still, Joes Rum Hut, Lucy's on Coral Bay side, and Greengos!
  
  Our day trip with Captain Cleve for drift snorkels and Lime Out was amazing. We also booked him for a half day fishing charter and cooked yellow tail snapper for dinner.
  
  We can't wait to come back and definitely want to stay at Sunset Beach again!

  The property was located on a private beach that gave the illusion of swimming in your pool at the end of the world. It comfortably housed 8 of us and we had an incredible time. The kitchen was spacious and all rooms were nicely furnished. Each room having its own bath was a huge plus. The customer service was also excellent. They helped us to navigate the covid requirements and also provided a greeter who met us when we got off the ferry. I would definitely recommend this accommodation.

  We had a great time on St. John. Sunset Beach was the perfect place to get home to after a long day at the beach, St. Thomas or Cruz Bay. The kitchen was very well stocked with all of the cooking utensils and appliances you could need. The pool was refreshing and the hot tub was used nightly. The view in the evening was beautiful and the ocean sounds were perfect.
