Sunset Beach

Do you enjoy walks on the beach? The sound of the water lapping on the shore? Beach homes with all the comforts of home and then some? If you answered yes to any of those questions, then Sunset Beach is the villa for you. One of the few villas on the island that is set right on a rocky beach, just across from the shoreline of a small cove, perfect for beach combing and snorkeling. There is also a great sandy area between the pool and the beach that you can relax on!

Sunset Beach also offers a full range of creature comforts. Float in the large lap pool or unwind with a long soak in the warm spa. Prepare a meal in the expansive kitchen and enjoy it on the breezy balcony. No matter what you fill your day with, you can look forward to a great night’s sleep in one of the villa’s four bedroom suites, listening to waves gently breaking on the shore.

  Perfect place for 4 couples; pool is terrific, and rocky beach was perfect for fishing/kayaking in the early morning before heading to the beaches. Incredibly well-stocked kitchen, gorgeous views. Catered To was excellent to deal with - very responsive to questions. Our stay with three other couples there was simply perfect.

  We stayed at Sunset Beach May 6-11 and for a family of 7, we had plenty of personal space as well as an open space for all of us to enjoy games and good food! The beach is rocky, but great for snorkeling, watching the boats from the lawn chairs and listening to the waves. We enjoyed the pool and the beautifully landscaped outside areas the most. The iguanas and hermit crabs made daily appearances too which was fun! Only suggestion would be to add air conditioning to the indoor family/kitchen area. We definitely recommend this unit to anyone looking for a place to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday work grind!

  Spent a week here with my spouse and 3 other couples. Amazing views, great snorkeling right off the point. The pool is beautiful, clean, and a wonderful place to relax after a morning exploring Cruz Bay or north shore beaches. The outdoor showers in two of the bedrooms are an amazing feature! The house is well maintained and we felt right at home for the whole week.

  It was very nice and our s
  accommodations were perfect. We were able to enjoy the ambience of St. John's and then return to our house to rest and revive. Loved the outdoor showers and beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with things we needed. We enjoyed watching the hummingbirds and also our visits from the iguanas. Only thing that needs to be addressed is the screen doors going out to the balcony as they probably should be replaced. Laundry room was a plus. Abby who took us to the house was great and very welcoming. All in all a great visit!

  This was our second stay at Sunset Beach and it was even better the second time around. The pool is outstanding! With four bedrooms, everyone has space for themselves, but the large common area was wonderful for gathering together. The outdoor areas are fantastic, as is the proximity to the water, as there are very few waterfront villas in St John. All in all, a fantastic villa!

  My two grown children, their spouses and I had a wonderful stay at Sunset Beach. Everything in the layout of the house made sense, it was well maintained and the kitchen was well stocked. We appreciated the welcome packet with starter provisions - thanks!
  
  The house was clean and we enjoyed all having a master bedroom! The view was unbeatable... it was nice not to have the morning sun beating down to enjoy daily coffee and breakfast on the deck with the iguanas. We had some wonderful excursions and enjoyed returning for late afternoon swims, enjoying the hot tub and evening sunsets from the deck.
  
  Highlights included hiking Rams Head and having lunch at Lucy's, spending the day at Maho snorkeling and paddle boarding, hiking to Water Lemon Bay and snorkeling with sea turtles, tropical fish and seeing barracudas.
  
  Favorite restaurants and eats were Banana Deck for nice evening out and the following for casual fare: Shambles, Tap and Still, Joes Rum Hut, Lucy's on Coral Bay side, and Greengos!
  
  Our day trip with Captain Cleve for drift snorkels and Lime Out was amazing. We also booked him for a half day fishing charter and cooked yellow tail snapper for dinner.
  
  We can't wait to come back and definitely want to stay at Sunset Beach again!

  The property was located on a private beach that gave the illusion of swimming in your pool at the end of the world. It comfortably housed 8 of us and we had an incredible time. The kitchen was spacious and all rooms were nicely furnished. Each room having its own bath was a huge plus. The customer service was also excellent. They helped us to navigate the covid requirements and also provided a greeter who met us when we got off the ferry. I would definitely recommend this accommodation.

The management company, Catered To, provided excellent customer service in responding the same day to our two maintenance issues: they repaired a toilet handle mechanism and replaced a non-working portable fan. We did not use the hot tub because it seemed to be an older model and the water did not look inviting.

  We had a great vacation. The house was a great location, great views, perfect for us and our three teenage boys and one more couple. The iguanas and hermit crabs were fun to watch! The no-seeums were slightly annoying. We were out of town far enough to have a quiet relaxing day by the pool but close enough to town for convenience. The hot tub was not in great shape but I don't think we would have wanted to use it anyway. There was a pretty good breeze in the house through all the windows and screen doors but would have been nice if we could have closed up the main living area to turn on an air conditioner but there isn't one for that space. Over all a great value

  Villa was awesome with nice kitchen for in house meal prep! Great view from deep porches with overhang for shade. We especially enjoyed the outdoor showers. Beautiful landscaping with resident iguanas & tropical birds that were fun to watch. Rocky access wasn’t worth the mediocre snorkeling (post hurricane).

  Sunset Beach is in a great location and the set up was perfect for our group of 5 adults and two young children.Although we had our share of issues with the house (broken water pipe, no hot water, lack of water), CateredTo was very responsive and took care of the problems.   We had a great time on St. John. Sunset Beach was the perfect place to get home to after a long day at the beach, St. Thomas or Cruz Bay. The kitchen was very well stocked with all of the cooking utensils and appliances you could need. The pool was refreshing and the hot tub was used nightly. The view in the evening was beautiful and the ocean sounds were perfect.
